SWEET KOLUKATAI


Sweet kolukatai  is my favourite , it is making with sugar/jiggery, i make it today using jaggery, simple to prepare and the taste is great, this is an authentic recipe, today we learn how to make sweet kolukatai easy steps follow this recipe.

It is prepared special occasions of ganesh chathurthi, in that day prepared lot of kolukatai varies like pal kolukatai,modah,sweet 
kolukatai,pidikolukatai,karakolukatai......

I prepared today normal sweet kolukatai im not using any special ingredient like milk, coconut milk and saffron, just i make evening time snack in this recipe.



INGREDIENT:

Rice flour – 500gm
Jiggery – ¼ kg
Cardamom – 5 pieces
Hot water to needed to make dough
Salt to taste
Grated coconut ½ shells
Water r - ¼ cup

PROCEDURE:
Step: 1 take a vessel put rice flour.

Step: 2 then add salt to taste.

Step: 3add hot water makes rice flour dough.

Step:4 then rounded rice flour small balls.

Step: 5then take pan pour water .

Step: 6 add crushed jaggery water became boil consistency.

Step: 7add rice ball in to a jagger water and cook it 15 to 20 mints.

Step: 8 it’s became semisolid consistency and rice ball also cook well, finally add grated coconut .

Step:9 sweet kolukatai is ready to serve.

PICTORIAL:


1.Take vessel put rice flour.
 2.Then add salt to taste.

4. then rounded rice flour small balls .


5.Then take pan pour water.




6.Add crushed  jaggery water became boil consistency and cardamaom.



7.Add rice ball in to a jagger water and cook it 15 to 20 mints.





8.Its became semisolid consistency and rice ball also cook well, finally add grated coconut sweet kolukatai is ready to serve.

NOTES:

Im used readymade rice flour to purchase departmental stores im not fry it directly make kolukatai.

Compulsory your make rice dough for hot water because rice flour half cooked in this procedure.

2 IN ONE RECIPE SAME BATTER:
If you want to do kara kolukatai  using in this same recipe.
First make batter same method.

Then put a pan heat then add oil when iol became heat add mustard seed and curry leaves and onion and chili grated coconut.

Put mixture into a batter and mix well then make small balls steam it, karakolukatai is ready to serve.

You can also stuffed savoury kolukatai,in this same  batter.

Take pan pour oil add mustard seeds, curry leaves,then add chopped onion then add wated spices and stuffed it then steam and serve.
